Atheros 5008x installation trouble

using this as a reference I was able to get most of it to work, but the only items that come up on iwconfig are:

 

eth0 no wireless extensions.

 

lo no wireless extensions.

 

 

when I try to add an item with wlanconfig like ath0 it says that item doesn't exist.

hi is the wireless card a usb one ? what distro are you trying with ? and as root if you type lspci can you see any reference to the card ? (or lsusb if its usb)

using Opensuse strangely this time when I went to run ifconfig it said it was an invalid command, not sure if it did that before or not.
