Quote:how do i find my old 'shortcuts' that i had on my old Gnome desktop ? are they gone forever or ? Sorry I never work with shortcuts, I don't like messy desktops :P I only work with menu's. I hope you made a backup before upgrading? and I'm still sorta a linux-noob, so I look around google alot when I can't find something. And try to helpout when having done a bit of research, but try this topic1 and ths topic2 Hope that helps my knowledge is still very limited :P

I found a solution for your problem here That's a while if you've been upgrading every time I always do a fresh install But I guess upgrading to a new fedora version is better to do since fedora comes with a new version every 6 months I think? While Debian has a new version every two years

ok that was much better thanks, but now when I rdesktop to my remote windows server, I can see a very big Gnome title bar at the top of my screen and i can't scroll it up or move it, your probably wondering why this is an issue, well my laptops resolution is 1200x800 so i cannot see a normal desktop without scrolling, and in F14 i solved it by minimizing the top and bottom gnome bars when remoting to those boxes, now i'm much nearer but still i have the top title bar of the rdesktop session, if i could hide or resize that it would be fantastic <a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_08_2011/post-1-0-37231400-1312483379.png" data-fileid="1303"></a>
