what messenger client do you use and why

i use gaim mostly (in linux) and msn messenger in windows

 

gaim does most things but i miss the fact that file transfer and webcam stuff are not options yet, but hey its developing

 

what do you use and why ?

I like gaim over amsn because it wins in the fact that gaim it more clean and has a better looking user interface.

i use gaim, all my friends are on it so thats what i go with, i don't use it much but it's nice to have

running in the background in case someone need me.

Anyweb, file transfer is supported in the latest gaim client. If you go to your friends list and right click the buddy you wish to send a file to there will be an option for file send. If you do this and have the newest version it will work.
