Tomcat

Ok, so, the never ending struggle to actually find someone that knows how to install configure/use tomcat has begun..

 

Basically i got fedora core 2. and i need to get tomcat installed and running on it.

 

I've apt-get'd tomcat, and its installed about 13 packages.

 

i've started the service. but now. what do i do? how can i test it? i've googled to death and back. everyone says connect to port localhost:8080

well, i get blank, no connection..

have you tried reading strabos tomcat guide in the server administration section ?

 

if not, have a look, or ask strabo :)
