If your into electronic music, check out di.fm for some kick ass streams while your playin' with your box.

In particular i'd say check out the hard-house channel. The mixes aren't always the best but the tracks are slammin' .

yeah that music is excellent, i listen to it all the time and also stream it to my hard disc and then burn it to cd and listen it in the car :)

how do you stream it to your hard disk? i been trying to figure that out.

in xmms

 

click options/preferences

 

then change the output plugin to disk writer as below in the screenshot

 

now, when you 'listen' to a stream, you won't hear anything, however it will be saved to your harddisc as a WAV file

i can't get xmms to play streams, i click add url but it doesn't add it the url to my playlist/when i hit play anyway it seems to want a local stream. any ideas?

i had a similar problem with xmms

 

seems it cant play

 

[/url]http://radio.bmj.net:8000/listen.pls

 

but it can play

 

[url=http://radio.bmj.net:8000]http://radio.bmj.net:8000

 

go figure ;)

:P Oh yes, Digitally Imported is always turned on in the background at my place... And it works great with XMMS too :)It's mostly trance/vocal trance that I listen to...

How? I still can't play *.pls :( Are there a plugin og something, so i can play it in Xmms?
