something along the lines of an onjoin message from linuxnoob (the bot) which says something like this

 

Welcome to #linux-noob, we aim to be the friendliest linux channel on IRC ! please feel free to ask your questions here and checkout the forums @ [/url][url=http://linux-noob.com]http://linux-noob.com

 

or whatever you guys think

No need, millions of tcl scripts exist so we can just find one and slap it on a bot, in fact we could even add it to a client (irssi can do onjoin messages with a simple script). So lets figure out who is the most stable :P
