Changing from gnome to KDE
#1
Right now I'm using the gnome desktop, but I would like to try the KDE for a little while to see how I like that one. Is there an easy way to switch?

Yes, at the logon screen click a button called Session and then choose KDE. To go back to GNOME, simply use the Session button again to choose GNOME after you logout.

Excellent!

I was hoping there was an easy way! I'm going to give it a shot once I get home!

Thanks!

No problem :)

I did switch from KDE to GNOME at one point, but for some reason (I think it was SUSE's integration with GNOME, rather than GNOME itself) it kept irritating me by not loading susewatcher and other applications into the tray properly, so I switched back to KDE.

I'm noticing a lot of differences already. I like the "start" menu (I'm not sure what else to call it!).

Well, that's good to know! lol. As long as it gets me further away from the windows world, I'm cool with that!
