Get extra mouse buttons assigned

I'm using simplyMEPIS 3.4-3 and KDE

I have a MS intelimouse explorer and was just curious if there is a way i can easily assign the extra mouse buttons to go foward and backwark in my web browser (Firefox or Knoqueror)

Yup there sure is.. to setup the mouse to work under Xorg .. do
