suse10. 1 cant play embedded video in browser

i installed suse 10.1 and now i can not play embeded music or videos in mozzilla browser. I had same problem with suse 10 but found a solution for which i have forgotten.

 

any help would be appreciated.

finally i got this working....

 

 

i wounder why i can not access shared folders (whihc is in windows pc), using run command ://ipaddressofwindow.

 

do i need to do somthing to get it to work?

In Konqueror (if you're in KDE), try smb://name-of-windows-pc in the Location bar (or just smb:/ to show all Windows networks/computers). If you're running Gnome look for Network Servers and Windows File Sharing (I'm not sure about that however).

 

I also had problems with SUSE's firewall configuration when trying to do Windows file sharing in SUSE. Try turning off the firewall using yast2 firewall & (as root) and see if that has any effect. (Remember to switch back on again!).

i am using gnome i tried everything but still no success, disabled firewall and did a run command. but cant figure it out :(
