Can't change resolution

For some reason oneday my computer crashed and ever since i haven't been able to change my resolution from 640 by 480. I've tried everything i can think of, but nothing has worked yet. I'm using a intel pentimum 3 with windows 98 se. i've got derect x and voodoo 3dfx. if anybody could help me it would be greatly appreciated.
