dual boot vista and linux mandriva

i have vista and mandriva installed on my pc. i want to know if its possible to switch systems without having to restart and selecting boot device each time.

the only way it would be possible would be to have one of the os's running as a virtual machine within the other os, that way you only need to start the virtual machine when needed and no need to reboot.

 

if you don't want to use the virtual machine method, then you'll have to reboot to select grub which in turn will let you pick your os.

I am interested to put a linux Mandriva on my laptop which comes with windows vista.

 

I have done it with previous versions of windows(XP), but I heard that there are some problems with dual boot on vista.

 

Can you tell me how did you manage to have both OS working together.
