i was just wondering if it would be possable to save knoppix to my jumpdrive (1Gig) and boot/run knoppix from there?

i should also add that i have a newer dell and the boot sequence dose not seem to have a usb option :P .

press F12 for a one time boot menu when booting the dell, it should list the usb device

Yes it's possible to make Knoppix boot off a usb stick. It isn't easy though.
