How do I get my USB Bluetooth to work with my linux SuSE Pro?

I'm using SuSE Pro 9.2 on my desktop. Linux recognizes the adaptor, but so far I am unable to make a connection with it. What does it take to configure Bluetooth so that I can actually use it. Please keep in mind that I am very new to linux and will need step by step type instructions. I will greatly appreciate any help I can get....

the version of suse you are using is out of date, consider upgrading to 10 OSS
