emerge rdesktop
emerge kuroo
emerge xchat
emerge xdm
had to make some changes to add xdm into the picture
nano -w /etc/rc.conf
XSESSION="startxfce4"
DISPLAYMANGER="xdm"
then had to restart xdm
/etc/init.d/xdm restart
rc-update add xdm default
