Windows Explorer Default Location - Digerati - 2003-12-18 By Default, Windows Explorer opens to the My Documents folder. However, you can change this so that Explorer will open to the folder of your choosing. Simply right-click the icon that you use to open Explorer (see the previous tip for Start Menu locations), and choose Properties.
