Fedora CDless Install? - amishjim - 2004-01-05 According to www.fedora.redhat.com there is not a Fedora install guide yet available. I need to do a ftp install, or something that boots with a floppy, my burner died so I can't burn the iso's I d/l'd. Is there a Red Hat version install guide that would be close to Fedora? Thanks for any help. =)# **actually found some install info @ http://fedora.redhat.com/download/ ** Fedora CDless Install? - anyweb - 2004-01-05 hi you could just mount the isos and install it that way You can also install Red Hat Linux or Fedora using ISO images without copying them into a single tree by loopback mounting them as: mkdir disc1 disc2 disc3 mount -o loop yarrow-1.iso disc1 mount -o loop yarrow-2.iso disc2 mount -o loop yarrow-3.iso disc3 or try this (its rh9 specific but may work for fedora) http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/R...nstall-ftp.html hth cheers anyweb |
