Linux noob=) lindows - Holmez - 2004-03-24 hi, i`m verry new to linux(wanted to try it because im tired of my PC crashing all the time),, i have installed lindows on my pc(im not at that PC now), and wonder how can i install programs in lindows? Click-N-Run is basically apt-get taken to a much higher level. All you do is click, and the program is installed, then they give you the option to add the program to your desktop. At first I was adding every program to my desktop because I thought that I would have to manually add the programs to the menu as usual. I found out that Lindows is adding my programs to the menu too! How great! The only program that wouldn't install was Galeon because of some dependency issues which you can view the details of if you want to in the Click-N-Run status tab (status screen shown in the far right screenshot). |
