Evolution Email - enigma - 2004-03-25 Just wondering if i could get a tutorial on using my evolution email service, I have an exsisting account with hotmail and was wondering if i could just use it. not sure how to set the pop and smtp up with it thanks... Greets to the Linux-Noob Team Evolution Email - hijinks - 2004-03-26 there is no way you can do it directly.. you'd have to use a script like this [/url][url=http://freshmeat.net/projects/gotmail/?topic_id=28]http://freshmeat.net/projects/gotmail/?topic_id=28 that'll put the mail in /var/spool/mail/username from there you'd have to run a local pop3 server and connect to that to read your mail. To send mail you'd have to run a local smtp server. The problem with that is a lot of ISPs are blocking email being sent from known residental IP blocks. So your mail might not get sent to someone on aol.com to make things simple i'd stick with using a browser to read your hotmail email |
