Flash player in Konqueror... - mephistophyles - 2004-08-03 Ok, I went to a few sites right after installing Mandrake 9.2 on my comp, and i keep getting this pop-up that tells me to download the Flash/shockwave player for my browser. I go to the site from macromedia and download the thing, now I have an tar.gz file, and I haven't a clue what that is or how do I use it, now i double clicked it, hoping it would install automatically (windows has spoiled me in that sense) but it opens the file, the read-me says to either use an install script (?) or manually put certain files into the browser plug-in folder, I can't find this folder, so would it be easier to use Mozilla or how does this work? thanks Mephistophyles Flash player in Konqueror... - anyweb - 2004-08-03 for tar.gz files do as follows Code: tar zxvf file.tar.gz cheers anyweb |
