Can anyone tell me where to get 3rd party apps and games under Fedora Core 2. And how to install them.

Sourceforge.net and freshmeat.net are good software resources. If you are looking for an RPM package www.pbone.net is your choice. The installation routine depends on the software, i.e. sources have to be compiled. But there should be some readme file in every package explaining how to install it.
