FC3 ATI radeon 9700 pro driver install issue - modern - 2005-02-02
Basically I follow the instructions from ATI's website and this is what happens when I run the RPM.
[root@amorphous-codeworks modern]# rpm -Uh --force fglrx64_6_8_0-9.8.25-1.x86_64.rpm

After I run fglrxconfig and then run fglrxinfo and I get the following:
[root@amorphous-codeworks bin]# ./fglrxinfo
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www.mesa3d.org
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
OpenGL version string: 1.2 (1.5 Mesa 6.1)
Basically I don't think the drivers installed but then I don't know why. Perhaps someone can make sense out of the above information. Doesn't look like anything changed in xorg.conf either so I guess I am sort of lost.

Just figured I would update this post. I replaced this card with a Nvidia 6600GT and drivers were much easier to install. In fact Nvidia's website had very good instructions. Rwo
