For some reason when i double click on an icon it wont open. it seems to try and then just quits.
any ideas?

look at the properties of the icon, maybe it points to a program already uninstalled?
also stick the contents of the icon properties up, tell us the distro too :)

what is the application, whats the command line you are using to try to start it
did you create the icon, or is it a default ...
