Partition - uncle.b - 2005-07-30 Well I need to get used to partitioning in linux and not using the GUI PM8. I need to Part my hard drive with fedore which i'm getting ready to install here within the next couple of days. Partition - anyweb - 2005-07-31 you can add/remove packages during installation or after installation all you need is the 4 cd's or the one dvd, are you planning on dual booting windows/linux ? if so you'll need a blank partition created on the windows machine BEFORE you try to install linux. once the linux installation begins it can use that blank partition and it will repartition that partition into its own layout, easy peasy cheers anyweb Partition - uncle.b - 2005-07-31 Well I ended up using PM to partition the drive, I was scared to use the built in function, not sure if I knew what I was doing :P . Imdual booting, I have a a Logical 10Gig Ext2 created with a 1024 SWAP. Im using the 4 discs, I actually getting ready to burn the images. |
