Watching videos in firefox - L150 - 2005-08-12


Hey everyone,

I was looking to watch some videos on www.purepwnage.com and as the movie runs in the page i needed a movie player such as windows media player in windows. can anyone reccommend an easy install player. regards L150 o_O

mplayer works pretty well, if you dont already have it, its easy to install. then just in the fox just goto edit->preferences and in there you'll see where you can tell it where to find apps. once installed mplayer will prolly be in /usr/bin then scroll down till ya see mplayer or gmplayer theyre both the same but one is sposed to have controls the other just a display. hope this helps ya out.

you can get plugins for mplayer/vlc (i dont know of any others?) that play the vids directly inside the browser (as expected)
