Hi, Im after installing fc6 on my lappy i have a stadard on board audio card, when i am playing audio the low frequency tones such as bass are very poor quality and distorted, has any ever had this problem or can any one help me fix this it would be great help. thanks

what laptop is it (make/model) and have you tried adjusting the sounds via the volume applet and alsamixer ?

Its an Acer Aspire 3630. Yes i have tried adjusting all these settings but no differance the volume controller does not work when i use the master adjuster but only the headphone adjuster. Any advice?

did you try alsamixer ?

 

open a terminal and type

also, what sound card is it on your acer ?

I have checked this doesnt make any difference and it is a sis si7012. Any help would be great
