ok upgrade to F16 and now the gnome bar has returned at the top of FireFox and all apps, do you know if there's a fix for that also ?

Couldn't find anything on it. But you could try moving the gnome panel to the bottom and then move it back up and see what happens? And if that doesn't work, remove gnome and reinstall gnome.
