ok i bit the bullet and coulndt wait any longer, i used this guide here to go from F14 to f15 !

wow the new F15 is awesome and will definetly take time to get used to, I'm finding the new 'windows' harder to navigate as things like minimize/maximize arn't anywhere to be seen

i'll come back to this later today when i come back from work !

Sorry I never work with shortcuts, I don't like messy desktops :P I only work with menu's.

I hope you made a backup before upgrading? and I'm still sorta a linux-noob, so I look around

google alot when I can't find something. And try to helpout when having done a bit of research,

but try this topic1

Hope that helps my knowledge is still very limited :P

ok gnome-tweak-tool was very helpful, my icons etc are back on the screen,

<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_08_2011/post-1-0-47566800-1312477447.png" data-fileid="1302"></a>

now if i can find out how to 'hide' the gnome bar on the top of the screen (i used to be able to scroll it left or right in F14, any ideas on that?

here's my desktop now

i've been upgrading each version of fedora on this laptop since F11 :)

I found a solution for your problem here

That's a while if you've been upgrading every time I always do a fresh install

But I guess upgrading to a new fedora version is better to do since fedora comes

with a new version every 6 months I think? While Debian has a new version every two

years

ok that was much better thanks, but now when I rdesktop to my remote windows server, I can see a very big Gnome title bar at the top of my screen and i can't scroll it up or move it, your probably wondering why this is an issue, well my laptops resolution is 1200x800 so i cannot see a normal desktop without scrolling, and in F14 i solved it by minimizing the top and bottom gnome bars when remoting to those boxes, now i'm much nearer but still i have the top title bar of the rdesktop session, if i could hide or resize that it would be fantastic
