cd umm i don't have the cd's........ my friend took them with him........

and i don't have a cd burner... also not my internet conection its the niebors and i don't need to be maxing it out as its my only conection the world right now

sorry i read the first post in this thread and assumed you too were using suse,

 

but seeing as it's fedora it's easy

 

just do this (if you have an internet connection), no cd's needed

yum -y install xchat

huh i did not install anything i just used gaim now i get this msg on the linux room..... (16:24:50) Please register with services and use the IDENTIFY command (/msg nickserv help) to speak in this channel tried the comdan says no such user ect

Nickserv .. you will have selected to join FreeNode (another IRC community). We are on one call EFNet, you can replace the server "irc.freenode.net" with one of these (select one near you and use the "name").

 

Then you can select "#linux-noob" as the channel to join.
