No.. I just chose what GUI to use (KDE) in the install program. I thought that would be enough.

 

But anyway, I've installed Mandrake now, and it workes just fine. Gonna try out SUSE too.

 

So just disregard this topic.. :)

When I try to start X, my screen goes black for a second, but then it goes back to the console. Here's some of the things it says:

 

Fatal server error:

no screen found

 

XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0"

after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

 

 

Why is this happening? I could start X with that basic GUI-thing, but that wasn't very useful.. o_O
