I am doing a project with my friend, and i need a program on Linux and on Windows XP and i can't run them at the same time. I was wondering if there was any way i could boot Windows off of the drive instead of switching back and forth, taking up to ten minutes at a time.

Thanks!

the issue is i dont have another copy of windows to buy.... is it at all possible to use that process and boot off a local drive? i saw that... i have fedora 13 dual booting with winxp and i was wondering if i could use that vm program to boot off a local drive.<br>
if you are already dual booting then you can boot into xp and run Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 sp1 or use Sun's Virtual machine, and then have a linux vm within windows, or do it the way i suggested, i'm not really following your issue... if you have xp already and already have fedora then you will need to have a virtual machine on one of them to do what you want
sorry about my issue... thanks for the advice
