Ok here's what I'm trying to do. I'd like to have a shortcut on my gnome desktop that I dbl-click on it and it open up the web folder (/var/www/html).

I'm running fedora Core2, pretty vanilla install (default gnome etc..)

I imagine this is a simple to do but I can't for the life of me figure out how, thanks.

hi right click on your desktop and choose 'create launcher'

in the 'command field' put

nautilus /var/www/html

give it a name like 'var' and choose an icon if you want

save it and double click on it !

cheers
