Yes it sounds strange but it's possible commandline for facebook(FBCMD):
You need php5 so check php -V
Then download:
curl -O
https://github.com/d...bcmd_update.php or download it from the
website
log into root
sudo php fbcmd_update.php sudo
php fbcmd_update.php install
Get your authorization code from
facebook
run fbcmd
And it should work ( I still have to try it myself)

I played with TTYtter a while ago. It's actually a really cool (and eerily IRC-like) way to use Twitter. I could run it on my server and have tweets perpetually open in a screen session. I ended up losing it due to doing a reinstall of the system, but I should play around with it again!

Yeah I agree facebook is a pain and waste of time but I know quite a few people around the world and it's the easiest way to keep up with them
i don't use facebook, but if it did the first command i'd try would be
