Anyweb, i was thinking that it would be a great idea to allow people to connect to Efnet/#linux-noob from the forum/website. I really don't know what you would use to accomplish this project, but am sure that it would create more traffic and users in the channel!!

Sanchez

it is already possible (on www.linux-noob.com scroll down and look at the left menu)

look at the screenshot

just click on the link and you are there

cheers

I think he meant (not sure) a java applet on the site...
Correct, i meant a java applet.
I agree with |sanchez|. If someone reads the forum, it would be a 'neat' function to be able to chat while on the web-page if u need help with something... i'm sure you have the knowlede and skills anyweb :)
One nice IRC Java applet that can be easily implemented on the site is jIRC. http://www.jpilot.com/

let me think about it dudes, nice idea, i'll give it a try next week if i get the time

or........

if any of the ADMINS of this site (apart from me) want to try, then please do

cheers

Unfortunately JPilot isn't freeware but another good and free java applet is Eteria IRC. If you can get an I-line on any server you could also use some cgi client (like my favorite CGI:IRC).

z0ny

can you implement it on this server z0ny mate ?

or tell me how to do it

cheers

anyweb
