I'm curious as to what everyone likes for a printing system. I dont know much/anything about it though. I know that cups is the old timer for linux but I was thinking that there were other options. I'd like to know what other options there are, their pros and cons..etc..
Thanks

Cups is not exactly the old timer. Cups is new when compared to lpd. Because of Cups's web configuration tool and its support of most of the currently available printers, it is the standard and it is worth the effort to use and understand it.
CUPs is very good for printer many printers supported also you can setup your printer via
web interface or the command system-config-printer
i use cups and it manages my color laser printer wirelessly just fine :-)
