Welcome to the forum :)

 

ok if I remember correctly in Slackware you should have a file called: "/etc/rc.d/rc.mysqld", thats

if you installed MySQL you can download it form: [/url][url=http://slackware.it/en/pb/download.php?q=1...-4.0.23a-i486-1]http://slackware.it/en/pb/download.php?q=1...-4.0.23a-i486-1

 

once you downloaded the package tpye:

 

su -

 

then enter your root password, once as root cd to where the mysql package was downloaded

and type:

 

installpkg packagename.tgz

 

Once thats installed check out the file: "/etc/rc.d/rc.mysqld" and the instructions are in there

on what to do next.
