Full Version: How can I do this?

I've just downloaded the ISO of the DVD of Linux Fedora Core 6. I've burned it onto the DVD. After it, I've checked the Sha1Sum code, and the code was the same of the code on the site! So far, so good.

But:

I've restart the computer (bootup from the DVD).

And then came a text: "Can't find Linux kernel, boot:" and I can type something after the :. So what can I do to get it working?

hmm, what hardware are you installing this onto ?

perhaps a look at the release note might help ?

Hi,

At the boot prompt try:

Code:
linux initrd=/isolinux/initrd.img

Thnx for your reactions. I'll try this first.
doesn't work :(

can you go into more detail please ?

what hardware are you using ?

where does it fail ?

does it install at all or completely fail to install ?

I'll try to download it again. I think it doesn't work, because there's an invalid file onto the DVD. I'll send the result if I'm done.
