Is it possible to boot linux from an external HD, even if the PC I'm using doesn't support booting from USB devices?
If so, how is it done?
if the computers bios doesnt support it then no, it wont boot from it

Would it in theory be possible to burn GRUB to a CD and use that to boot off the drive?
I'm just curious as to whether that's possible.
