Full Version: How do I fix Beryl?

I recently installed Beryl on Ubuntu 7.10 Feisty Fawn, and I'm a complete beginner at it. I was enjoying all the pretty eye candy, when I came across the "advanced options" when you left click beryl in the taskbar. I went htrough the rendering platforms until I clicked "XGL" (i think), and then it froze. I was wondering how to reset the rendering platform back to AIGLX or Nvidia. Thanks!

just right click on the beryl icon, choose 'select window manager', and then select 'metacity'

to re-enable xgl/compiz, goto (system/preferences/desktop effects) then enable it.

to re-enabled beryl, right click on the beryl icon and select window manager, choose 'beryl'

cheers

Have a look at these posts http://forum.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthr...p;highlight=ATI, http://forum.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthr...p;highlight=ATI, then go here http://forum.fedoraforum.org/ and search on the term ATI. Makes me glad I have an NVidia card.
